Job Objectives:
As part of the planning and scheduling team, implement the scheduling function for all routine (day to day) and non-routine (campaigns, turnarounds larger overhauls and rebuilds, including infrastructure) maintenance on site. To ensure timely execution of maintenance work while minimizing both cost and impact on plant by optimizing use of resources for preventive, corrective and opportunity work to be executed in SAP PM, ,. The focused objective is related to the efficient execution of work by maintaining logical network of activities for all maintenance types. Maintain and optimize a resource leveled schedule based on manpower and resources from the planner ideally with a frozen first week schedule 100% loaded, and look ahead in line with the Qatalum Work Management System
Job Description:
- Schedules work to be executed in SAP PM,
- Validate job plan details and provide feedback to planning as required by:
- Ensuring the right skills are properly loaded for work volume for the period.
- Ensuring the right parts are available for execution of the work (reserve, inspect spares from warehouse, deliver them to the designated staging area).
- Special tools required are available for the execution of the work.
- Coordinate permits preparation with the Permit Authorizers & Execution representative prior to the execution of the work.
- Finalize resource loading for the work to be executed.
- Achieve alignment and agreement with maintenance execution and operations in the work execution area with the Planner.
- Participate post - execution analysis for organisational lessons learned and continuous improvement for larger overhauls & rebuilds.
- Drive accountability for daily schedule updates and compliance with agreed completion dates
- Maintain a clear overview of the volume of prepared corrective/preventive backlog work orders as well as their priorities to decide when to bring the work into a specific week for execution
- Combine activities for efficient execution, reducing losses in required time for work preparation, work execution and work closure
- Produce daily, weekly prelim and weekly final schedules and create weekly baselines for tracking purposes.
- Facilitate a Weekly/Daily Meeting schedule.
- Communicate with other maintenance schedulers for shared resources and services
- Work with Asset teams to make sure finish date doesn’t lapse
- Subject Matter Expert of the Scheduling process in Qatalum
- Act as a change agent to help continuously improve the maintenance scheduling process

Minimum Qualification Required
- Technical Trade qualification
Required experience
- 3 years experience in a process industry environment supporting Planning and Scheduling or Execution of Maintenance/Projects or Turnarounds
Job Specific Skills
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Good computer skills. MS Office
- SAP PM experience.
- Has broad maintenance experience and skills.
- Demonstrated ability of working effectively with multidiscipline & cross functional teams and third parties
- Detail oriented.
