Job Objectives:
To develop, implement and maintain the SAP applications and connected systems used at the Qatalum plant ensuring their maximum performance, availability and reliability to fit Qatalum business requirements in optimal way.
Job Description:
- SAP Business Systems – SAP Functional area of Support: Finance, Controlling, Treasury and Project systems - Analyze business requirements and business processes and transforms into a solution with optimal utilization of SAP and related applications and system reliability. Develop, Design, Configure, Customize and Implement SAP application in the respective modules as per international best practices and SAP recommendations with increased efficiency and maximum utilization. Manage or co-ordinate internal and external projects within area (modules) of responsibility. Develop and support all technical documentation in configuration, customization, programs, training documents, business process documents, Test scripts in respective modules. Actively seek innovative solutions to utilize latest technologies, functions & features, Investigate capabilities of new versions of SAP applications and advise business for best/optimal utilization. Active participation in knowledge sharing with business team & IS/IT team and coaching of Key users based on requirements. Manage / Support the audit requirements, security requirements in the respective applications as per business requirements
- SAP Business Systems – Functional and Technical support for the organizational reporting requirements: BODS, BOBJ, Hana CDS Systems - Design and architecture of BODS for non SAP systems (MES system of APICS Reduction, Cast house and other applications such as Synergi, OXSAS etc.) and all SAP modules used in Qatalum (Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Material Management, HR, Training, Sales, Logistics, Plant Maintenance etc.; ). Developing, designing and technical development of ETLs independently without or less dependency on SMEs of SAP Modules. Architecture, develop and modify time to time the Universe Designer tool as per business requirement. Knowledge in analyzing business requirements and provide Functional Specifications for ABAPer for designing of CDS views. Coordinate and execute the project planning, estimation, and status meetings.
- SAP Business Systems – Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) System - Functional and technical design of new business processes and requirements. Develop and implement BPC objects i.e. reports, input templates as per business requirements. Co-ordinate with Business Warehouse(BW) consultants in developing of new processes with source systems ( SAP and NON-SAP systems). Managing and coordinating of design and testing of solutions, training the end users. Functional and Technical designing of BPC models such as OPEX, CAPEX, manpower, sales, purchasing, Financial, cash forecast etc.
- Troubleshooting - Answers all basic trouble calls/emails/requests in his respective area of support in SAP related applications and support it using Qatalum’s SAP Solution Manager system. Trouble shoot and provide business process support at level 3 to end users as per the CSA with different departments. Report and coordinate Level 4 support with SAP Support portal.
- User Assistance - Perform all duties relating to assisting users in their daily work to identify errors/problems in SAP and related systems. Train selected key users in SAP business process functionalities and features in SAP and related applications.

Minimum Qualification Required
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field
- SAP Certification in the relevant SAP Module
Required experience
- 10-12 years SAP experience within customizing, configuring, SAP project implementation and/or programming for selected area of SAP
Job Specific Skills
- Strong SAP application competencies in FI, CO, Treasury, BI, BO, DS, BW and BPC modules
- Good awareness in Workflow, ABAP
- Experience in SAP Solman systems in Incident management and CHARM
- Strong business knowledge/understanding is required for all FI, CO, BPC, BI, BO, DS and BW modules.
- Project management skill capabilities being able to manage and administrate IS/IT projects.
- Working and troubleshooting knowledge in the respective area
- Thorough knowledge of international best practice and SAP standards in the respective area
- Good business process knowledge for other areas outside core responsibility
- Good communication skills being able to transform business requirements into well working system/solutions
- Designing SAP business applications and defining improvement plans.
- Understands System recovery plan, Disaster recovery plan, Security, High Availability and redundancy from IT Infrastructure perspectives.
