Job Objectives:
To perform all aspects of maintenance of the Electrical equipment for Qatalum Power Plant.
Job Description:
- Coordinate within Maintenance departments to carry out routine inspections and testing of Electrical equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planner to complete Preventative Maintenance activities and feedback completion statistics.
- Coordinate with all Maintenance personnel to assist in work activities to ensure the highest plant availability and earliest return to service.
- Coordinate with other departments to assist in the interrogation of data in Root Cause Analysis.
- Identify and adjust parameters to ensure the highest plant availability and reliability.
- Coordinate with Planner to ensure that relative histories and data are stored within the CMMS.
- Complete SAP Quality Index.
- Complete Closure of activities within agreed timescale.
- Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
- Participate in training of colleagues to ensure their continual improvement and provide sufficient coverage for absence
- Contribute proactively in the Qatalum Appraisal System to ensure continual personal development
- Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
- Prepare Work permits as required.
- Ensure personal compliance with the PPE requirements of Qatalum HSE guidelines.
- Complete Safety Reporting Logbook to ensure continual HSE improvement.
- Generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports are prepared as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements governing reporting.
- Follow of all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Active involvement in the installation and commissioning of the Electrical equipment and systems for Qatalum Power Plant.
- Review standards of installation and reports on defects and non-conformance issues.Support the development and training of National employees.

Minimum Qualification Required
- Relevant Technical/Trade qualification in Electrical Systems
Required Experience
- 4-6 years experience with Power Plant Electrical equipment with well developed diagnostic and maintenance skills
- Combined Cycle and/or International experience would be an advantage.
- Computer Maintenance Management Systems experience would be beneficial.
