Job Objectives:
To oversee operations within the Foundry alloy (FA) & Extrusion Ingot (EI) Casthouse. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality, minimize production downtime, meet customer requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Job Description:

• Ensure quality of product, minimization of production downtime, satisfaction of customer needs, installation/modification of methods or equipment.
• Monitor equipment and processes. Systematic follow up of losses
• Ensure preparation of Capital Expenditure Proposal within FA & EI
• Take on project manager roles or project owner roles when necessary
• Ensure that all customer requirements in terms of lead times, tonnages and product specifications are met.
• Active competence sharing of own knowledge and expertise through training and coaching of operators and other staff functions
• Ensure effective management of FA & EI by contributing to the operational Business Plan Process, including execution and progress monitoring
• Meeting all annual operational objectives.
• Ensure that FA & EI Casthouse is operating within budget
• Contribute in setting the annual production plans and budget
• Ensure compliance with the quality management systems
• Make sure that SOP's are up to date, maintained and developed.
• Follow up key process parameter to ensure stable operation. Initiate RCA and actions when required.
• Support development of nationals
• Actively motivate and follow up the teams in order to ensure performance excellence
• Ensure correct manning on the teams. Initiate recruitment together with HR when required.
• Vacation plans
• Appraisal talks according to company procedures
• Drive continuous improvement activities within FA & EI Casthouse. Ensure involvement of shift leaders and their teams through use of cross shift critical process groups and shift team activities.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental standards in order to protect personnel and physical assets.
• Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
• Ensure HSE Synergi reporting and follow up. Share learnings.
• Ensure the FA & EI reports are prepared as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Utilize SAP for tracking production, inventory, and process optimization
• Assist in the preparation of monthly KPIs, reports and commentary on results.
• Ensure understanding of the company's policies and procedures on the teams

  Minimum Qualification Required

• Bachelor Degree or higher within relevant Engineering field. A Master Degree in Technology is a beneficial addition for this role
  
  Required experience
• 10-12 years' experience in the Aluminium industry of which 7 years must be in the Casthouse

• Computer literacy
