Job Objectives:
To operate, maintain and troubleshoot billet casting tables and related equipment for smooth extrusion ingot production in casthouse. The role involves preparing and maintaining casting equipment, monitoring process parameters and ensuring compliance with safety, 5S and quality standards as per set procedures.
Job Description:
- Ensure that shift and daily targets are met.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on casting tables, moulds, launders and related equipment.
- Carry out pre-and-post maintenance equipment inspections.
- Coordinate work schedules and activities with operation, maintenance and support employees.
- Complete consumables audits and coordinate stores' requirements within the team.
- Ensure completion of Job Observation/Task Analysis/Risk Assessments.
- Perform rotation role as casting operator in casthouse.
- Act as Team trainer or training coordinator, when required.
- Complete incident/injury and near miss reports.
- Participate in TPM, critical process groups and other improvement activities.
- Participate in SOP and process audits. Write and review SOPs when required.
- Carry out problem solving exercises and SPC requirements with the team.
- Attend and contribute to meetings.

Minimum Qualification Required
- High School (Grade 12) certificate or equivalent required; Diploma/technical training in mechanical or metallurgy is preferred
- Driving License
