Job Description

Job Objectives:
The Shift Team Leader will be responsible for the management of the Anode Transport Critical Process in Reduction. This will entail the transportation of Rodded Anodes, Spent Butts and Bins from the Potline to the Bath Cleaning Plants in an efficient and effective manner.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for heading shift, continuous dialogue with Potline Supervisor, Rodding Supervisor, BCP Team Leaders and other Team's Shift Leader(s)
  • Manage the First Line Maintenance and operations of Anode Pallet Transport Vehicles
  • Responsible for Management and Control of PPEs;
  • Coordinates with CWS vehicles shift maintenance on duty to follow up on-time release of equipment and vehicles during PM & CM activities.  Ensure the maintenance shift achieves the required output performance and quality.
  • Handle notifications in SAP PM.
  • Assist and support the Transport operators within his shift as and when required
  • Conduct shift HSE meeting and Planned inspection, SOP WOCs and 5S audit
  • Prepares Shift report
  • Lead the Critical Process Meetings for the Area

    Minimum Qualification Required
  • High School Diploma with Proficiency in English
  • Forklift Driver's License

    Required experience
  • 4-5 years experience in an Aluminium Smelter in a similar role

     Job Specific Skills
  • Thorough understanding of Mobile Vehicle Operations
  • Knowledge of the policies and procedures of the smelter's operation and maintenance
  • Computer literate with basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power point)
  • SAP PM, APICS Electrolysis, INOSA  knowledge in creating OPL & SOP documents
  • Thorough understanding of various statutory regulations relating to the industry's well as company policies, in particular relating to HSE and
  • Knowledge in Anode Change Operations
  • Knowledge of Rodding and Bath Cleaning Operations
  • Has Leadership skills and ability to handle a diverse group of people.
  • Manpower planning knowledge preferred
