Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed al Hammadi on Monday attended the launch ceremony of the 10th Annual Sponsorship and Internship Career Forum organised by Qatar University Career Services Center (QU-CSC).

Themed 'Here I Start', the forum aimed to give students a platform to meet and communicate with potential employers on employment and training opportunities.
The minister was joined by QU President Dr Hassan Rashid Al Derham, QU VP and Chief Financial Officer Dr Humaid Al Midfaa, QU VP for Student Affairs Dr Khalid Al Khanji as well as ministry officials and QU faculty, students and staff.
Qatalum’s participation presented opportunities for students to meet representatives within job careers at the Smelter. Representatives were Development Manager AbdulHalim Al Bader along with Mohammed Al Mannai, Al-Maha Al-Majid and Jassim Al-Mejali during the 4 day event.
“Visitors were briefed about Qatalum and the job opportunities and programmes offered,” according to AbdulHalim Al Bader, Qatarization Training & Development Manager, “We received many applications for employment and Summer Internships 2016. Our special thanks to those members who participated in the event who represent the Qatari work force in the company and their departments’ encouraging efforts and support towards the Qatarization and Development efforts within Qatalum.”
The forum also contributed to offering high school students a comprehensive picture of QU programmes and help them choose their specialisation, in line with their aspirations and the needs of the labour market.
