Job Objectives:
To drive continuous improvement culture focusing on deployment of Qatalum Business System. Act as process leader for value improvement projects to ensure an effective or increase performance of company's value drivers. To understand and able to practically apply the Qatalum Business System Tools related to corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, failure analysis and control of non-conformance. To analyze various data across affected business units appropriate quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Coordinate and follow-up Qatalum Improvement Program with inter related project across Qatalum.
Job Description:
- Lead the development, update and deploy QBS Roadmap and Assessment
- Report results to respective line and group managers and areas for improvement and follow up on closure of actions
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department systems, processes and practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Act as process leader to identify and promote continuous improvement initiatives in areas of assignment with the aim to drive standardized work processes and achieve optimized flow through use of QBS Principles and Tools.
- Highlight delivery-related risks and issues. Assist line department to mitigate through existing risk management framework
- Communicate achievements across the organization
- Conduct workshops or meetings to facilitate development of the Project Initiation Document including clear, actionable work plan, team setup with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and required resources
- Conduct high-level assessment of remaining capability gaps of team with line managers and provide training on QBS processes I methods and change management
- Monitor progress of implementation against work plan through regular meetings, supporting on problem-solving around bottlenecks and constraints
- Provide coaching on continuous improvement tools
- Conduct sessions to facilitate development of and review/challenge regular progress updates
- Monitor and Report risks related to QIP projects
- Regular interactions through meetings and forums related to the program governance structures: monthly performance reviews, weekly departmental meetings, quarterly milestone events for the improvement program
- Facilitate use of QBS/lean Tools such as RCA, VSM, Network Analysis, Kaizen etc. and process performance metrics in areas of assignment to prioritize and maintain focus on identified improvement initiative.
- Work as lead auditors/auditors to support the development and maintenance of Qatalum's Certification (ISO 9001, TS 16949,IATF;2016 and integrated management system including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
- Coach Line Managers in interpreting applicable standards, with an awareness of potential risks and consequences
- Facilitate critical process identification and support in documentation development such as Critical process Tree, (SOP, OPL and CSA).
- Audit and report Group performance as per QBS road map.
- Report Level 1 KPI(QBS deployment) for groups according to performance on a monthly basis
- Facilitate trainings and workshops QBS Tools (eg. PDCA, RCA, VSM, Network Analysis, Kaizen etc.). Educate people on performance and process matrix.
- Define with T&D further development of Competence matrix based training and organizational philosophy and Leadership training as per QBS requirements.
- Identify nominations for 5S Team Achievement Award and CEO's Qatalum Improvement Program
- Responsible for all main QBS relevant displays and standards across Qatalum.

Minimum Qualification Required
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Management Studies
Required experience
- 7 - 9 years’ experience as process improvement analyst, quality assurance specialist or performance improvement specialist in industrial or processing environment
- Aluminium primary metal industry would be an advantage
