Job Objectives
Crucible cleaning operator is responsible for operation of Crucible cleaning machine and related equipment according to Standard Operation Procedures, in a safe, environmentally, efficient and cost effective manner.
Key Accountabilities - 1
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Follow of all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Departmental Reports
Generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports are prepared as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements governing reporting.
Health, Safety and Environment
Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
Continuous Improvement
Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
Qatarization
Support the development and training of National employees.
Key Accountabilities - 2
Department Activities
- Follow the procedure and instructions from prestart checks to routine standard operations:
- Crucible cleaning.
- Tapping pipe cleaning.
- Crane Operation.
- Forklift operation.
- Solid metal recovery from bath mix
- Identify, segregate and maximize reuse of tubes by co-ordinating repairs with vendor via work order. These include melt of blocked tubes and repair of hole and cutting of “parrot beak phenomenon”
- Participate during introduction of new tools/routines/technology.
- Adhere to HSE legislation and Company Safety Policies in order to maintain a high safety standard.
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and 5S to be maintained at all times. All work areas have to be kept free of spillages and rubbish.
- Responsible for both quality and quantity of the job done.
- Report all deviations to logistic supervisor.
- Responsible for damage of materials like siphon tube, tools, pot tapping accessories etc.
- Responsible for inventory control and withdrawing consumables from warehouse.
- Report unsafe condition and acts noticed during job.

Minimum Qualifications Required
- High School Certificate
- Driving license preferably in GCC and heavy vehicle driving licence
Minimum Experience Required
Minimum 3 years Aluminium experience preferable in a similar position.
