Job Objectives

To perform all operational tasks and duties within the Casthouse, whilst giving assistance to the Shift Supervisors and other team members to ensure safe and efficient Casthouse operation. To operate all equipment to meet safety, production, process and customer needs.

Key Accountabilities - 1

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Follow of all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Departmental Reports

Generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports are prepared as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements governing reporting.

Health, Safety and Environment

Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.

Continuous Improvement

Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.

Qatarization

Support the development and training of National employees.

Key Accountabilities - 2

Department Activities

• Ensure that shift and daily production targets are met.
• Act as Team trainer or training coordinator, when required.
• Participate in SOP and process audits. Write and review SOPs when required.
• Coordinate work schedules and activities with process, maintenance and support employees.
• Carry out problem solving exercises and SPC requirements with the team.
• Complete consumables audits and coordinate stores’ requirements within the team.
• Ensure completion of Job Observation/Task Analysis/Risk Assessments.
• Attend and contribute to meetings.
• Participate in shift change over discussions with oncoming and off-going team, including the use of Hot Seat Changeovers to meet production requirements.
• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance duties and operator care.
• Carry out pre and post equipment inspections.
• Complete incident/injury and near miss reports.
• Conduct Spectro lux operation (including fault-finding and troubleshooting).
• Participate in TPM and AMPS activities.

Minimum Qualifications Required

• High School (Grade 12) Certificate
• Relevant Driving licenses 

Minimum Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Casthouse Operations
