Job Objectives
To perform all assigned duties related to potline operation in a safe, environmentally way, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Job Dimension
Key Accountabilities - 1
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Follow of all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Departmental Reports
Generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports are prepared as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements governing reporting.
Health, Safety and Environment
Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
Continuous Improvement
Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
Qatarization
Support the development and training of National employees.
Key Accountabilities - 2
Work Procedures
- During start up and standard operation assist and follow up on work procedures to ensure compliance to pre-defined work instruction in the areas of:
- Anodes changing and covering
- Pot tending
- Beam rising
- Shift measurements
- Deviation treatment
- Logs and curves interpretation
- Pots deviation treatment
- Vehicle operation
New Technology
Assist Shift Supervisor in introducing new tools, technologies and work routines to shift workers in order to increase awareness and improve efficiency.
Maintenance
- Perform first line maintenance on equipment in order to minimize costly downtime and escalate as needed.
- Identify and report any maintenance and modification ensuring that any malfunctioning equipment is immediately and rapidly repaired and replaced.

Minimum Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma
- GCC Driving license
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Aluminum potline operations
